Workshop Description

For over ten years, BizInt Smart Charts for Patents has been helping patent searchers and analysts create tabular reports from the leading patent databases. This workshop will describe how you can use BizInt Smart Charts to create, update, customize and distribute patent reports.

BizInt Smart Charts for Patents software tool automates the task of creating a tabular report (chart) from search results from STN, Questel, PatBase, MicroPatent, Delphion, Thomson Pharma, Prous, Minesoft and GenomeQuest. Recently added features help you update reports and identify new and changed information, identify members of patent families across databases and hosts, and automatically generate links to full patents on PatBase, espacenet, Delphion and MicroPatent.

The next generation of BizInt Smart Charts for Patents will help you quickly generate a "reference row" combining information from different databases into a single row in your report. You can select between conflicting data elements or supplement patent data from one database with images, claims, or other unique data from other databases.

This workshop is for both current users of BizInt Smart Charts and others interested in new tools for efficient analysis and presentation of patent information.

Workshop Presenter

John Willmore is co-founder of BizInt Solutions Inc., and manages the development of all aspects of the BizInt Solutions product line. John has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and over 20 years experience in software development. Outside of work, John plays ice hockey and enjoys training and competing with his three miniature longhaired dachshunds.
