Creating from MicroPatent

BizInt Smart Charts for Patents can build charts from search results from Thomson MicroPatent's PatSearch FullText and MPI-INPADOC collections.

Clipped images are not included in the exports from MicroPatent.


Step by Step
  1. From the Patent List (search results), select the patents you want and click the Worksheet button.
  2. Once again, select the patents you want. Click the link under the "Other" heading to Export selected.
  3. On the Export Data page, choose the format that you wish to export. Any format which offers a selection in the BPD Format column is available.
  4. Select the fields you would like to export. All Predefined Options are supported. You may also select Enhanced Data Export, and select any fields that you wish to export. Note: If you choose Enhanced Data Export, "Patent/Publication No." must be included.
  5. Choose the radio button corresponding to BPD format.
  6. Press Submit to order the export.
  7. When the order has finished processing, you may save the .BPD file to your hard disk and then import it into BizInt Smart Charts for Patents (File | Import), or you may open the file directly.
