BizInt Smart Charts for Patents can build charts from search results from many of the Questel interfaces. This page describes how to build charts from your search results on Orbit.com.

The standard set of fields contained in the BizInt Export format is controlled by Questel. If you would like to select additional fields, you may use the "Export as XML" format. Simply ensure that you use the settings described below for images and zipped files.

 

Orbit.com - Step by Step

  1. Conduct your search on Orbit.com.
  2. Select the records you want to export and bring up the Export menu. Choose the BizInt Export option, as pictured below:

  3. On the first Export panel, choose whether or not you want to include images in the export. Press "Next".

  4. Your choices on the second Export panel depend on whether you chose to include images on the previous step. If you chose to export with images, you must choose the "zipped" option on this panel:

  5. Save the resulting .BPD file and import it directly into BizInt Smart Charts. Even if you chose "zipped file", import the entire file. BizInt Smart Charts will unpack the components of the ZIP.
