Creating from Thomson Pharma

BizInt Smart Charts for Drug Pipelines supports importing drug records from Thomson Pharma. These tables can then be combined with tables created from other drug pipeline databases.

BizInt Smart Charts for Patents 3.3.3 or higher supports importing IP (patents) records from Thomson Pharma. These tables can then be combined with tables created from other patent databases.

Please Note: Occasionally, Thomson Pharma will export an empty file. If you are unable to import into SmartCharts, please repeat the search again.



Drug Records - Step by Step
  1. Logon to your account and conduct your search.
  2. Select the records you want to export and click on the Export option in the Process results box.

  3. You will be presented with the export screen. Select the "BizInt" option on Results Export window.

  4. A blank browser window will open, then you should** get another window to open or save the file. Opening will download the file with the default file name and open it in BizInt Smart Charts automatically. Saving will give you the option to download the file with the name and location you prefer. You must then import the file to BizInt Smart Charts. (Depending on how your computer is configured, the file may open and launch BizInt Smart Charts automatically.) Drug pipeline exports save with the .BRD extension

IP Records - Step by Step
  1. Logon to your account and conduct your search.

** Thomson Pharma has the following workaround for Internet Explorer users who are faced with the Information Bar blocking their downloads: If a blank export screen with the MSIE information bar appears, Internet Explorer has blocked this site from downloading files to your computer in order to protect your security. Click here for options, appears when attempting to export in Thomson Pharma, use the following work-around. You must click on this bar and choose the continue download option. At this point, the window will remain blank. Do not close the window. Minimize the blank window and click the export option again (step 2).
