Creating reports from DialogClassic.com

If you use Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer 4.0, you can use DialogClassic Web (dialogclassic.com) to do your search and save results to import into either BizInt Smart Charts for Pharmaceuticals or BizInt Smart Charts for Patents.

DialogWeb is not supported with any browsers.

1. Do your search on dialogclassic.com, and display records using the TAG option.
2. Click the 'Show Entire Buffer' button to display all of your output. Point and left click your mouse anywhere within the output data to ensure that the focus is on the data and not on the command box and buttons.
3. Netscape: Open the browser's File menu and choose Save Frame As. Save in .txt format. This saves all of the text in the output frame to a disk of your choosing, so that you can look at it any time, even if you are logged off Dialog and disconnected from the Internet. Images, if any, in your output are not saved by the browser.
   
4. Internet Explorer 4.0: Open the browser's Edit menu and choose Select All. Then, open the browser's File menu and choose Save As. Save in .txt format. This saves all of the text in the output frame to a disk of your choosing, so that you can look at it any time, even if you are logged off Dialog and disconnected from the Internet. Images, if any, in your output are not saved by the browser, you must save them individually.
5. Internet Explorer 5.0 and above: If you use the File | Save As option in IE 5 or IE 6, only the window frame will be saved. The only way to save your search results from Internet Explorer 5 and above is to select and copy the results from the browser window, then paste into WordPad or NotePad (not Microsoft Word), and save as a .txt file. Images cannot be saved using this approach. It is possible that the .txt file will be garbled and cannot be imported -- if so, try copying and pasting again.
6. Use the File | Import command in BizInt Smart Charts to import your saved .txt file.
