Creating reports from Questel*Orbit
Key issues:
- The preferred format for transcripts is RTF.
- Records should be displayed with "full labels" off. That is to say that each field should have a label of the form "TI - ".
- Images may be included in transcripts created with QWEB and QPAT.
BizInt Smart Charts supports Questel*Orbit transcripts created using the following tools:
- QWEB
- QPAT
- Imagination
- Other terminal software:
QPAT
- RTF transcripts from QPAT may be imported into BizInt Smart Charts.
- Remember to display records with "full field name" turned off.
- Choose the export function and select RTF format. If you want images, choose the "Full Size Images" option (not preview size). Save the file to your disk.
QWEB
- Display your selected records with a PSET that has tags, not full labels.
- At the end of your session, logoff and choose Export. Select RTF format. If you want images, choose the "Full Size Images" option (not preview size). Save the file to your disk.
Imagination
Display your selected records with a PSET that has tags, not full labels.
To save search results:
- Setup export (Export menu, Setup... or Control-U)
- Save as type should be rich text format (*.rtf)
- Click Advanced
- Ensure that the check next to Auto Format is NOT checked.
- Press OK.
- Enter a file name and press Save.
- Select the search results in the Session window (you can use Select All on the Edit menu to do this).
- Select Export Selection (Export menu, Export Selection, or Control-E,
or press the Green arrow button).
